This is part of a series of actions taking place around the world, New York City, San Francisco, Canada, and Tel Aviv are a few of the places actions are taking place today. THE PROTEST ARE MEANT TO AMPLIFY THE VOICES AND PLIGHT OF KAKUMA REFUGEE CAMP AND GET OUR LGBTQIA SIBLINGS TO SAFETY! Outside  The Daily News Building  220 42nd Street in #NYC offices of the Daily news When we first heard of the atrocities, the fear, and inhumane living situations plaguing the LGBTQI refugees in Block 13 of Kakuma,  we were appalled and baffled at the inaction of the UNHCR in these dire circumstances. Our brothers and sisters were being attacked, robbed, threatened,  and even raped because of who they are. The homophobia and transphobia from locals and officials has poisoned their lives in an irreparable way and we need to do everything we can to get them out of this Hell and move them on to safe houses and eventual asylum in other coun

Free food for the community at  August 31st 2020 Food Serve at Lexington and 115th st Shut It Down NYC is not just a protest group fighting against injustice, police brutality and a system that targets black and brown community's  with impunity!   "Shut It Down" is a group that is so much more at it's heart is a strong and un-waving need to protect and serve there streets, there blocks, and  community, which is why for the last 3 years as of December 2020, they have setting up food servers, giving to those in need food, clothing, books.
